Well, that's it folks first tour is in the books. We're all back home now getting caught up on all the sleep we missed out on over the last week. We had a blast! And we met so many awesome people and bands. We left off in Tillsonburg so I will try and brief both shows that we had left:
Barrie:
We rolled into Barrie after two comfortable nights in London staying with a friend of mine. We were a bit tired but determined to finish the last two shows off in proper fashion. We played a cool little joint in Barrie called The Foxx Lounge. The crowd was small, but we got soe great applause/feedback and sold quite a lot of cd's. So we'll chalk that up to a win in our books! The interesting thing about Barrie is just how beat up and rundown it is... especially right around the venue itself and in the roach motel we stayed in that night. Whilst checking in, I was interrupted by a hooker paying the hotel manager his cut of her latest "job" with the message that she'll see him again in a few hours. We slept in sleeping bags on the bed and no matter how many times you showered you just didn't feel clean... but we survived.
Burlington:
Probably the best show of the tour. We awoke that morning to discover a down pour, so knowing we couldn't hit the beach that day we opted to spend the day indoors and drove to Yorkdale Mall in Toronto. It's huge so it occupied a lot of our time. We then drove over to Burlington where the sun came out... beach time! We rolled up to the Red Rooster, set up and enjoyed the venue. It's a great little roadhouse type spot. Great sound, friendly staff and awesome musicians. We met THESE GUYS and we are definitely going to be hooking up some shows with them.
We then drove home overnight back to Ottawa arriving at around 5:30am.
We had such an incredible time on the road! Thank you so much to everyone that bought cd's and rocked out with us. It was such a blast that we're talking of hitting the road again in August/September. We'll keep you posted. We're taking the week off to do our own thing, and then we're back at it writing new tunes. Our next scheduled show is July 26th at Zaphods opening for Inflight Safety. We'll hopefully be debuting some new tunes for you at that show!

Ahhh Tillsonburg!
How many bands can say they played Tillsonburg? Well we can. It was a good old fashioned hoe down! The day started off great, an old friend of mine from high school now living in the London area was gracious enough to put us up for two nights. We love him for it. So we woke up yesterday morning and hit the great city of London. We hung out and then hit the road to Tillsonburg. Things weren't looking too promising as it was just an endless amount of farm fields but then we happened upon this quiet little town called Tillsonburg. Things got off to an interesting start when a play fight between Alex and Charles drew the attention of local OPP but they left when they realized we were all friends. We performed with an interesting duo called The Sarah and Jeff show... I really don't know how to describe it to you, so check them out HERE You'll see what I mean.
I thought we played a pretty good set, sold some merchandise after too which is great! We had a warm reception in Tillsonburg! What can we say other than it rocked!?
Here was our set list:
Wellington City Skyscraper
To See you Get Through
Sound the Alarm
Ocean
Best Way Home
Secret Service
Run Away
Familiar Old Sun
Straight and Narrow
Along the Way
We're off to Barrie soon for the show tonight at the Foxx Lounge. Then tomorrow is our last stop in Burlington at the Red Rooster Tavern! So far so good people!

Resting up in London
So we made it to London. We're tired and feeling a bit haggard but otherwise everything is going well. We played an interesting set in Toronto, toned down and acoustic at The Press Club. The nicest people in the world work there. We actually had a great time and played a really cool set. Spent the day at Sandbanks drinking on the beach so it was cool to play a more relaxing set.
Next up is Tilsonburg tonight!!! See you there!

So it all starts tonight!
Here we are, a mere hours before the first show. We're just about getting set to hit the road on our tour! I'm really excited, this is the first official Right by Midnight tour. Hopefully the first of many to come! We'll see. So tonight the first show is in Kingston at the Mansion. This is a newer place but it's been getting some wicked feedback. We're stoked that we're getting the chance to play there! It's going to be wicked. Alright, I'm off to meet up with the rest of the guys and the great blue whale (our van) which will be our home for the next 5 days and nights.
I will report in after the first show.

So we leave for tour tomorrow
So... what a day. Our tour starts tomorrow and what do I wake up to this morning. A notice that our Toronto show was cancelled. Want to know the reason why?! Not enough people RSVP'd to the facebook event... the very facebook event that said promoter only put up 2 days ago. I mean... really... facebook. WTF happened to promoter's actually PROMOTING events. I'll admit, facebook is an amazing tool, it really is, but come on people. As a concert promoter, one would think you'd actually get out there and promote the god damn event. In any event... we lost the show.
Luckily I got on the phone right away all day and landed us an acoustic slot. We're now playing The Press Club on Dundas acoustically at 9pm on Wednesday. Thank god.
First show is tomorrow in Kingston! Spread the word we hope to see everyone out there this week!
June 22 - Kingston, ON - The Mansion
June 23 - Toronto, ON - The Press Club (acoustic)
June 24 - Tilsonburg, ON - Norma Jeans
June 25 - Barrie, ON - Foxx Lounge
